The offerings of Roman Shades are manufactured in many different styles such as and not limited to flat panelled with wide seems while others are made in dramatic flare like tear drop sections, blooming out to show case a different feel.
In a sense these shades are a great window covering solution to soften a space and not have to jump at covering with drapes and spending extra dollars on items that often accompany drapes which i might add are extensive and more times than not an expensive route.
So many different things can be added to roman shades that its easy to make them functional for just about any setting, for example if you want to match the house in all one fabric its possible to add a backer on the light filtering fabric for the bedrooms, or even go so far as to add gimping or fringe and not limited to bottom up top down so as to have form and function in a living room or bedroom setting.
Another wonderful attribute to these shades is how it offers ease of installation and an uncanny ability to work in tight situations because of its low profile depending on the style of headrail the particular vendor might be using (usually under an inch and a half). being able to fit in so many tight spaces and have such perfect blackout ability makes Roman shades a common sell.
Budget wise these shades meet people in the middle which is nice because it offers so much so you get good ‘bang per buck’. Not much in the window covering market offers as much in such a condensed package as these do. One last thing I want to point out about these shades, that if you have tall windows to consider using the cordless option to get multiple looks in one window space. I like to tell my clients “What a difference one small change can make.”
